Nepal, the country of high Himalayas, splendid mountains, strange wildlife and diverse cultures is a world in itself. Nepal has a unique landscape stretches from the pinnacle of Mt. Everest (8848 m) in the north to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha, in southern Terai where diverse human cultures and natural habitats can be found. It is a matter of pleasure to mention that Nepal is also a home of countless river, glacial lakes, lakes, and creeks with their common origin in the Himalaya. The Greater One-horned Rhinoceros is perhaps the most enduring symbol of Nepal’s rich biological heritage. Nepal is a paradise for bird lovers with over 646 species (almost 8% of the world total) of birds. Nepal also offers a wide range of climatic, geographic and vegetation variations according to the altitude. This wide variation has favored varieties of species of flora and fauna to thrive.
There are many places around Kathmandu to see great mountain view and natural beauty. Nagarkot is one of them. Nagarkot, an internationally renowned resort set on the edge of the Kathmandu valley, close to the city of Devotees, Bhaktapur, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful areas of the country. It lies at an altitude of 2150 and is located 32 kilometers north-east of Kathmandu. As it is located in high hill, it has a very clean environment with its natural resources and is covered with forests. It is renowned for its spectacular sunrise and sunset view of the Himalaya when the weather is clear.
